Standard dress for western women traveling to Iran tends to be a full–length skirt, or a long–sleeved shirt and trousers, worn underneath a loose fitting, below–the–knees, which can be of any colour A head scarf should cover the hair.

Iran uses the metric system every where.

 Tap water is safe. Foreigners who prefer mineral water can find it in most towns and large hotels.

The last Friday of the fasting month is observed as Ghodss Day. Christian, Jewish, and Zoroastrian minorities have their own holidays.

    1. Now Rouz: March 21st New Year's Day.

2. Sizdah be-dar: April 2nd, 13th day of New Rouz. On this day everyone stays out of doors thus repulsing evil according to an ancient tradition.

Medical personal are well qualified and most hospitals are well equipped-Most internationally Known drugs are in stock.

 

  • FOODS & DRINK

Standard of Food hygiene are mostly satisfactory in all Categories of eating houses, in general most Iranian Cooking is healthy and nutritious and you shouldn’t have much problem in keeping to a balanced diet. Tea is the most popular drink and Dough (a mixture of yogurt, water and salt) and a great variety of Fruit juices are used in Iran.

One of the famous traditional foods in Iran is Chelokabab (rice with barbecue meat)

  • Passport & Visas

Visitor must be in possession of a passport that is valid for a period of at least 6 months. Passengers staying in Iran require a visa.
