This square Is one of the most attractive squares in the world. Its antiquity dates back to safavid era.

At that time it was a garden located at the same place , which was expanded and became a huge square as well as the polo and ceremonial ground.
The stonen pillars at the south and north part of the square are showing the origina; place of the polo goal. The length of the square is 510 m and its width is 165m.
